The bob without commitment

Per combattere il caldo con stile non c'è niente di meglio di un faux bob, specie se è l'ultimo grido in fatto di hairstyle. Visto e rivisto sui red carpet e sulle passerelle di questa stagione, il fob è l’hairstyle più cool per sfoggiare un crop corto senza effettivamente darci un taglio.

Certo è che realizzarlo non è proprio una passeggiata ma se vi armerete di tanta (santa) pazienza e di forcine a profusione potrete farcela. 

Dopo prove su prove, io sono riuscita a mettere a punto un sistema per me infallibile che ha garantito un risultato perfetto nonché un risvolto a lungo termine più sbarazzino.   

Ecco come:

1. Usando la piastra V Gold di ghd ho ammorbidito le lunghezze, arricciandole all’estremità.

2. Per dare più volume e un po’ di grip ho spruzzato il Dry Texturizing Spray di Oribe su tutti i capelli, dalle radici alle punte.

3. Ho diviso i miei capelli in due sezioni, al livello delle orecchie, raccogliendo la parte superiore.

4. Ho intrecciato la parte inferiore e l’ho fissata contro la testa fino ad ottenere il risultato più piatto possibile.

5. Ho pettinato la parte superiore con una Mason Pearson per lisciarla e uniformarla. 

6. Ho creato una coda morbida e bassa, fissandola con un elastico poco al di sotto del punto in cui volevo che il mio bob finisse.

7. Ho ripiegato la coda su se stessa andandola a fissare sulla treccia fatta prima (un aggancio perfetto) usando una miriade di forcine. 

8. Ho rispruzzato il Dry Texturizing Spray di Oribe su tutti i capelli, per fissare e perfezionare il tutto

Et voilà!

Se anche voi avete i capelli scalati non preoccupatevi se qualche ciuffo scappa. Come ho detto prima, il risultato a lungo termine sarà un bob disordinato ma sbarazzino, in perfetta linea con le tendenze più audaci.

As I said previously, if you have a short hair commitment problem you should consider the  faux bob. Know as well as fob it is the last trend spotted on spring catwalks and red carpets. Sure enough it's the perfect way to go short without scissors and when the heat becomes nearly unbearable, freeing your neck is mandatory.  

Unfortunately there is nothing simple in this up-do and you'll need a lot of patience and practice to nail it.

What I personally did to achieve it was:

1. I waved the end of my locks with my ghd V gold styler.

2. I sprayed Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray all over for volume and grip. 

3. I sectioned my hair from ear to ear and clipped the top, shorter layers away.

4. I braided the bottom section and pinned it up flat against my head.

5. I brushed the top of my hair to smooth it with a Mason Pearson.

6. I made a low ponytail and secured it with an elastic. I tied it a bit lower from where I want the faux bob to end. 

7. I tucked the ponytail underneath and pinned it to the braid using lots of bobby pins. 

8. I added a spritz of Oribe Dry Texturizing to catch any flyaways and smooth my hair.

Et voilà! It’s done.

Remember, if you have layers like me, you shouldn't worry if some locks will fall during the day. Just keep everything under control and what you’ll have is a beautiful messy faux bob.
