Dalla location regale e Rococò del Castello di Leopoldskron alle giacche delicatamente ricamate fino al makeup delineato d’oro, tutto parlava di opulenza all’ultimo Show Métiers d'Art Paris-Salzburg di Chanel, una sfilata semestrale che ormai tutti sanno essere una leggenda della moda, un mix di pura stravaganza, genio creativo e know-how dei migliori artigiani del mondo. Non sorprende dunque che gli abiti portati in passerelle siano stati stupefacenti (come non parlare della maestria di Lagerfeld nel mixare i colori tipici della Maison - nero, rosso e blu navy - con sfumature alpine più soft, il tutto su lederhosen e dirndls fatti rinascere in chiave decisamente più chic e accattivante) così come il beauty look, che non è passato inosservato neanche questa stagione.

Focus sugli occhi per il make-up, fresco e audace al contempo, che ha giocato con uno smoky eye innocente creato con la palette Les 4 Ombres in “Intuition” e “Tissé Riviera” e impreziosito da una riga di eyeliner dorato (Stylo Yeux Waterproof “Or Blanc” - Collection Noël 2014). Tocchi di Rouge Coco in 'Julia' e 'Cécile' (della collezione Rouge Coco 2015, una nuova formulazione che non vorrete perdervi) hanno rinfrescato e riempito le labbra, mentre il viso è stato tenuto naturale con una base ultra-light di Vitalumière Aqua Foundation e spennellate di luce (Éclat Lumière). Sulle guance Joues Contraste in “Brume D’or” e “Jersey” e highlights dai riflessi preziosi creati con Camelia De Plumes della Collection Noël 2014. A finire la manicure, immancabilmente classica con uno dei must-have della maison, Le Vernis in Ballerina.

I capelli prendono ispirazione da una principessa Sissi dei giorni nostri (vedi l’ultimo video di Karl Legerfeld Reincarnation in cui Cara Delevingne interpreta proprio la suddetta) che abbina un lusso di fine Ottocento a un glamour anni Settanta senza tralasciare la facilità di realizzazione del nostro secolo. A capo dell’hair team, Sam McKnight si è sbizzarrito anche questa volta raccogliendo i capelli in mezze code vaporose (realizzate con l’aiuto di un ferro Babyliss e dell’ormai noto Dry Texturizing Spray di Oribe) impreziosite talvolta da preziosi fermagli o fiocchi di satin, e altre da headphones (cuffie) del tutto particolari. Soprannominati da McKnight “braidphones”, questi accessori sono stati realizzati con capelli veri - biondi, castani e rosa - e interpretano in chiave moderna la tradizione delle trecce Germanic-Style facendole diventare veri e propri must-have per l’inverno.

From the royal and romantic location of Castle Leopoldskron in Salzburg to the golden edged eye makeup, everything was pure opulence at Chanel’s last Métiers d'Art Show, a biannual rendez-vous that has now become a fashion legend thanks to its extravagance in mixing the creative genius of Lagerfeld and the know-how of the best craftsmen in the world. Not surprisingly, the clothes worn on the runway were amazing (I have to mention the mastery of Lagerfeld in mixing the colors of the Maison - black, red and navy blue - with alpine softer shades, giving a contemporary twist to dirndls and even lederhosen) as well as the beauty look, which even this season has not gone unnoticed.
The make-up, fresh and bold at the same time, had its focus on the eyes where a innocent smoky eye created with the palettes Les 4 Ombres in "Intuition" and "Tissé Riviera" was embellished with a stroke of golden eyeliner (Stylo Yeux Waterproof "Or Blanc" - Collection Noël 2014). Touches of Rouge Coco in 'Julia' and 'Cecile' (Rouge Coco 2015 Collection, a new formulation that you do not want to miss) adorned the lips, while face was kept natural with a ultra-light base of Vitalumière Aqua Foundation and some highlights (Éclat Lumière). On cheeks Joues Contraste in "Brume D'or" and "Jersey" gave a fresh flush while Camelia De Plumes (Collection Noël 2014) created precious reflections. To finish the look, an absolutely classical mani painted with Le Vernis in Ballerina, one of the Maison’s must-have.
Hair was inspired by a modern Empress Sissi (like Cara Delevingne in Lagerfeld’s latest video Reincarnation) combining the luxury of the late 19th-century with a bit of glamour of the Seventies and the ease of our days. At the head of the team, Sam McKnight created lightly tousled hair pulled into half-up ‘dos and fastened with a Chanel accessory: some models wore a precious jeweled barrette, some a satin bow and others customized headphones. Called by McKnight "braidphones", these accessories were designed with real hair - blond, black and pink - and reinterpret the Germanic-style braids in a forward-thinking way, making them a must-have for winter.
