Matte Foundations: A lesson courtesy of Nick Barose

Following make-up artists on Istagram is fun and educational and among them my favorite is definitely Nick Barose. Not only his profile is full of sarcasm (check out his last "But that's none of my business" series) but he gives the best tips ever. Speaking of which, here is one he published two weeks ago regarding matte foundations for summer. I couldn't agree more on what he says:

#Summer a perfect time for #Matte foundation to look polished in the heat, People tends to get scared of the word #Matte thinking it’ll look pasty and lifeless . My 3 Faves Matte foundation, they are matte but sets to a natural looking finish, @sisleyusa #Transmat is so natural and fresh, the @chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet feels like velvet, matte but luminous and the @makeupforeverofficial Mat Velvet gives great coverage but look like skin. Even if you’re not oily, Matte foundation is perfect for summer. You can blend it down with dampen sponge to get it really sheer but matte so it stays fresh in the heat. #Summer #Makeup #Foundation #Skin #Face #Fresh #Heat
