Maestro Glow: a foundation cult
Un fondotinta costruito con lo stesso schema di un profumo, in una piramide di benefici scanditi in tempi diversi e rilasciati nel tempo come le note di una fragranza, per coccolare la pelle, proteggerla e migliorala durante tutto il giorno. È Maestro Glow, il nuovo fondotinta firmato Armani che, ispirandosi al best-seller Maestro Fusion Makeup, si reinventa con un finish glow e una formula nutriente bifasica basata su un elisir di olii che, paradossalmente, risulta leggerissima e lascia la pelle radiosa, naturale e morbida al tatto.
Il segreto di Maestro Glow sta nella proprio nella piramide della sua formula che vede gli olii di testa contribuire a un finish fresco e a una sensazione non oleosa (sia al tatto sia alla vista), gli olii semi-volatili di cuore conferire quel tanto ricercato glow luminoso e naturale e, infine, gli olii di fondo* - nutrienti ed antiossianti - ripristinare l’equilibrio idrolipidico, rafforzare le difese naturali della pelle e regalarle con il tempo un aspetto sempre più radioso.
A dispetto di ciò che possiate pensare, e quasi paradossalmente, questa formula a base oleosa è in grado di assorbire gli eccessi di sebo, aderisce perfettamente al viso senza “scivolare” e trattiene i pigmenti sulla pelle per una tenuta che dura tutto il giorno. Ovviamente è più adatta a pelli da secche a normali ma anche le pelli miste (come la mia) possono godere dei suoi benefici, soprattutto d’inverno o quando sono più stressate. Personalmente ho adorato Maestro Glow sin dal primo istante. L’applicazione è quasi un rituale, il contagocce permette di utilizzare la giusta quantità di prodotto che si posa sul viso con il solo aiuto della punta delle dita. Una gestualità intuitiva, simile a quella di un trattamento skincare ma con i benefici di un makeup che uniforma l’incarnato in un istante, facendo scomparire le piccole imperfezioni senza sforzi (quelle più importanti posso essere mimetizzate stratificando il fondotinta) e rendendo la pelle subito radiosissima. È un effetto nudo ricercato, illuminato quasi dall’interno e impreziosito da una pelle morbida al tatto e più elastica nel tempo. Potete considerarlo un perfezionatore dell’incarnato che, oltretutto, ha anche una protezione SPF 30, un plus che non guasta mai.

Yes, the new Maestro Glow foundation features a formula with a pyramid of benefits released over time as the notes of a fragrance that pampers, protects and enhances the skin throughout the day, leaving it glowy and flawless. It’s Armani’s way to astonish us, it’s unique strategy to make us fall in love (again and again) with the new and glowy version of its best-selling foundation Maestro Fusion Makeup. And this new formula, even if it has a lot in common with the original, is in my opinion a fresher twist. Created to satisfy the needs of normal to dry skins (but suitable for combinations during winter time or stressed out periods) Maestro Glow comes with a, indeed, glow finish and a nourishing bi-phasic formula based on an elixir of oils which, paradoxically, is very light and create a natural even appearance on the skin leaving it radiant and soft to the touch.
The secret lies in the pyramid of the formula that sees the top oils contribute to a fresh finish and a non-greasy feeling (both to touch and sight), the semi-volatile heart oils give that much sought-after natural glow and, ultimately, the base oils* restore the moisture balance, strengthen the natural defenses of the skin and deliver a radiant appearance over time.
In spite of what you may think, and almost paradoxically, this oil-based formula is able to absorb excess of sebum, perfectly adheres to the face without "slipping" and retains the pigments on the skin with an incomparable hold. Personally I loved Maestro Glow from the very first moment. The application is comparable to that of a ritual, the dropper allows you to use the right amount of product that can be applied with fingertips only and the finish is easily buildable. In few seconds Maestro Glow evens out the complexion and conceals small imperfections (most stubborn ones can be camouflaged by layering the foundation) leaving a super radiant finish. It’s a nude effect, almost lit from within. You can consider it a complexion enhancer that also has a SPF 30.
