NARS and Steven Klein are going to update your lipstick wardrobe
If you want to update your winter lip wardrobe there the coolest minis collection out: created exclusively for the Steven Klein for NARS collection, is a limited-edition set offive mini lipsticks in a lineup of soft-to-striking shades. Perfect to be worn on an everyday base, the Killer Heels Mini Lipsticks are on the sheer-isa side - yet their strength can be built coat after coat - the colors and the formula in the nudes are wonderful, very velvety and moisturizing, same for the three reds, and they all smell amazing. Little Darling is a translucent flattering nude that is not chalky at all. When you first see it you can be scared by its grey undertone but as soon as you wear it, it transforms itself in the perfect beige nude lip. Fire Down Below is the more opaque of them all, a very deep red that can be build up in strength, while Jungle Red is a very bright shade that can be worn sheer during the day (with a lip balm underneath) or bolder for a night out. Mayflower and Joyous Red, on the counterpart, have micro glitter in the formula, which is quite nice if you like the style. The first one is my-lips-but-better one of a kind, I simply love it.
A little note for you: if you are used to NARS Audacious formula, well, this isn’t like it but it is as much spectacular minus the 100% pigment opacity that characterized it. And for me and my on-the-run lifestyle this is a plus, Audacious lippies are striking and glamorous but not very practical. This formula, thought is simply amazing. Sheer, buildable and moisturizing. And does not require a precise application nor a lip liner. I could’t have ask for more.

NARS ha lanciato la collezione più cool degli ultimi anni, una limited-edition di cinque mini rossetti creata in esclusiva per la collezione François Nars + Steven Klein, un chicca che oltre a questo one-shot prevede un’intera gamma di make-up pensata e creata dal visionario e audace duo. Se amate il genio cosmetico di NARS e le opere provocatorie del fotografo di moda Steven Klein non lasciatevi sfuggire tutti i frutti della loro collaborazione, è una edizione limitata che veramente riscrive le regole del makeup e ne rompe gli schemi!
Ora, torniamo a noi e al nostro lipstick wardrobe. Il set di rossetti Killer Heels Mini è un vero e proprio hit and run: cinque rossetti in versione mignon in una lineup cromatica dal delicato all’intenso, perfetti da indossare quotidianamente grazie al loro finish sheer che può essere modulato a piacere e alla loro texture vallutata e idratante.
I nudi della gamma sono meravigliosi cosi come i suoi rossi. Little Darling è un nude traslucido e lusinghiero che non scade nell’effetto gessoso. Magari a prima vista può spaventare il suo sottofondo grigiastro ma fidatevi, non appena si poserà sulle vostre labbra diventera il nudo perfetto. Fire Down Below è la sfumatura più matte di tutte, un rosso molto intenso che può essere costruito in forza, strato dopo strato, cosi come Jungle Red, un rosso più luminoso che si presta sia ad essere portato di giorno con un velo di burro di cacao sotto per un finish traslucido sia la sera, da solo, per una bocca Anni Cinquanta. Mayflower e Joyous Red, infine, hanno invece una formula più shimmery, con micro brillantini che conferiscono più profondità al sorriso. Il primo è una nuance in stile “my-lips-but-better” che vi risolve le giornate di indecisione, mentre il secondo vira più sul mattone.
N.B.: se siete abituate alla formula Audacious dei rossetti di Nars, questi sono altrettanto spettacolari senza però essere 100% matte e pigmentati. Il che, per me e il mio stile di vita on-the-run è un big plus, i lippies audacious sono sorprendenti e glamour, ma non molto pratici. Questa formula, invece, è semplicemente incredibile. Sheer, modulabile e idratante, si presta anche ad un’applicazione veloce, senza matita ne’ troppi drammi di precisione. Non avrei potuto chiedere di più.
