The covetable, yet unexpected, look at Fendi Fall 2015

Inaspettato. Questa la miglior parola per descrivere il beauty look per il prossimo inverno di Fendi, pensato e creato con l’idea di bilanciare una collezione molto controllata, quasi matematica. Focus su occhi imprecisi e impregnati di mascara, dunque, e su acconciature disordinate adornate da fasce di pelle arricciate.
A capo del team makeup, Peter Philips non solo ha dato vita a degli sguardi sovraccarichi di ben cinque strati di Diorshow Mascara (sotto i quali ce ne erano altri due di Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum) ma ha anche puntato sui segni che cotanto nero poteva lasciare sulle palpebre delle modelle. Un difetto voluto e accentuato poi con tratti di matita nera per enfatizzare il disordine e creare qualcosa di inaspettatamente intenso.
Sempre con l’idea di contrastare le silhouette architettoniche della collezione Sam McKnight ha creato delle fasce per capelli di pelle arricciata nei toni del marrone, nero bianco e ruggine che le modelle hanno indossato sopra una coda sfatta e arrotolata attorno alla base delle stesse per un tocco french style.
Covetable, yet unexpected were the watchwords backstage at Fendi 2015. After neoprene eyeliners and fur faux-hawks, this season both Peter Philips and Sam Mcknight went back to use more classic materials to counterbalance the very controlled collection and create a deconstructed look made of an imprecise eye with super clog lashes and undone hair embellished by rushed leather headbands.
In charge of the makeup team, Peter Philips gave life to overloaded lashes using two coats of Dior’s Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and five (yes, five) of Diorshow Mascara. The result was intentionally made in order to mark the model’s lids with mascara every time they blinked, something that Philips emphasized with random strokes of black liner to create even more mess for an unexpected intensity.
Speaking of which, also the hairstyle aimed to disarray the architectural silhouettes of the collection and Sam McKight threw rushed leather headbands in brown, rust, black and white over strands, and then twisted them around at the back for a half-falling out and hanging down minimal result.
